1. How do I request my username?
You may request your username information and reset your password by clicking on the Already signed up? box found at the top of the home page. Next, click on the Lost username/password? link. Your username and/or password will be emailed to you.
2. How do I reset my password?
You may reset your password by clicking on the Already signed up? box found at the top of the page. Next, click on the Lost username/password? link. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.
3. How do I complete a course?
Each course includes a pre-test, post-test, and course evaluation. You must take the ungraded pre-test before beginning the course lessons. As you proceed through the Lessons, you must click the End of Section. Click to Continue. link that appears at the end of each section. After completing all Lessons, you must take a post-test and score at least 75 percent to pass. After passing the post-test and completing the course evaluation, you will be able to print a certificate of completion.
As you complete each component (Pre-Test, Lessons, Post-Test, Course Evaluation), a green check mark will appear to the right of that item in the Course Menu. If you have not fully completed a requirement, the check mark will be yellow.
4. How do I access my CE certificates?
You may review and download certificates for every course that you have completed by signing into your account and clicking on the Certificates link in the top toolbar. The certificates are in a PDF format and you must have a compatible application (such as Adobe Reader) on your computer or mobile device in order to download and view them.
5. How can I tell how many CE credits are available for each course?
You may determine the CEs available for each course by clicking on the course?s Course Description page and then clicking on the Accreditation Statement found below the course?s specific learning objectives.
6. I am experiencing difficulty with the website. Who can help?
Please click on the Help Desk link in the top toolbar that appears on the homepage and the Course Listing and Accreditation page and submit a help request. We will contact you via email within three business days.
7. What kinds of CEs are available for your courses?
All of our courses are accredited by American Nurses Credentialing Center, National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Texas Medical Association, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, and the Texas Department of State Health Services. Specific courses are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education, International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, Texas Academy of Audiology, Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, UTHSCSA Dental School Office of Continuing Dental Education, and the Texas Department of State Health Services Promotor(a)/Community Health Worker Training and Certification Program. Please refer to the Course Listing and Accreditation page for specifics regarding CE credits available for each course.
8. I am a pharmacist or pharmacy technician. Will I be issued an ACPE certificate after completing any of your courses?
Six courses are accredited for pharmacy CE: A Pharmacist’s Guide to Dispensing Texas Medicaid Prescriptions and DME; Atopic Dermatitis; Exercise-Induced Dyspnea; Identifying and Treating Children with Asthma; Identifying and Treating Children with Diabetes; and Pharmacy
ACPE and National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) have implemented a new system to track completed CPE activities by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. You must set up an eProfile ID with NABP and supply that ID and your date of birth (MMDD) during your Texas Health Steps registration. Course credit will be posted the first week of each month to eMonitor.
Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are not able to print certificates upon course completion. Certificates for other accreditations may be printed after your post-test and evaluation are completed. Click here to read more information and set up your eProfile.
