Welcome to the training on Trauma-Informed Practices for Medicaid Case Management provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

Goal
Integrating a trauma-informed approach to case management can enhance a practitioner’s ability to provide respectful and responsive services for all clients. This course provides training on recognizing the impact of trauma and how to adopt and apply trauma-informed practices during interactions with children, youth and pregnant women who are eligible for Medicaid case management services in Texas.
Completing this course and downloading a certificate of completion meets the requirement for trauma-informed Medicaid case management training prior to being certified as a Medicaid case manager.
Target Audience
Current and prospective Case Management for Children and Pregnant Women providers and other interested health professionals.
