Health Partners

The Texas Health Steps Online Provider Education program collaborates with a wide variety of Texas Health and Human Services Commission programs to provide up-to-date, free, continuing education courses, program information, and other resources for providers. Our partners include the programs listed below and we continue to collaborate on projects throughout the year.

Programs

Medicaid Administrative Claiming Program

Medicaid Administrative Claiming – known as MAC – reimburses eligible public entities such as school districts for performing activities that protect the health of young Texans. MAC provides reimbursement for a range of activities that connect individuals to medically necessary services funded by Medicaid.

Nonemergency Medical Transportation Program

Medicaid provides free nonemergency medical transportation for eligible Texas Health Steps patients and Medicaid clients who have no other means of transportation. Services may be available to individuals enrolled in Medicaid managed care and traditional Medicaid.

Provider Relations Representative Resources

Texas Health Steps provider relations representatives are a primary source of outreach, training and technical assistance for current and potential Texas Health Steps providers. This page provides easy access to resources that help Texas Health Steps staff perform a variety of valuable activities.
